Present Tense: a joint exhibition of work by artists Karen Roulstone and Sarah Chapman. The exhibition explored the relationship between the codes of painting and photography.
The exhibition presented of a series of paintings and painted over photographs which explore the codes of painting and photography, their intersections and possible disruptions. The exhibition’s curatorial aims were to offer an original engagement with an understanding of the way in which temporal frames might be explored and disrupted through the application of paint.
